Vs High Beach CC Sunday XI

Good morning RCC fans as we travel into the unknown as we take on a brand new opponent in the guise of High Beach CC.

Today's overs contest should see two evenly matched team take to the quirky sloping playing area which, as a back drop, has a view of the central London sky line.

Sinders steps in to captain again as Club skipper Jim is still suffering from his broken finger.  However, as per last week the plan is for Jim to again provide live match Twitter updates direct from the ground (@RosaneriCricket).

Sunday's venue is High Beach CC, Pepper Alley, Mott Street, High Beach, Near Loughton, Essex, IG10 4AP and the entrance to the ground is tucked away within the grounds of the estate.  See the detailed directions below and check Google maps for the location.

Meet time is 12:30 pm sharp for a 1:00 pm start.

As this ground can be tricky to locate so the directions are as follows:

From the Waltham Abbey M25 junction (junction 26), take the turn off the roundabout for Epping and Loughton A121. Proceed along the road Woodridden Hill, and take the right hand turn at the cross roads just after the Volunteer Pub on the right, marked High Beach. Continue up the hill which passes though Epping Forest and eventually comes to a clearing with the Kings Oak Pub (on the left), this is a forked junction, please keep straight on along the road, past the tea hut where the cars park. Don't take the road past the pub, carry straight on for approx another 350 meters though the forest until you reach the cross roads, again go straight over into Mott Street, which is sign posted, Lippets Hill. At the next fork in the road keep straight on again (you will see Wallsgrove House) remain in Mott Street, for approx 125 meters or so, ahead is Pepper Alley which is on the left hand side of the road at the brow of the hill. The club is at the end of the alley/bridle-path.

Participants are kindly reminded to remember the current ECB guidelines which can be viewed via the links below as well as to bring their own hand sanitizer.
