Well there was no need for a Man of the Match vote this week as history finally repeated itself as
Ben Underwood claimed only the second hat-trick in the Clubs 14 year playing existence.
Ben, in the first over of his second spell, claimed wickets six, seven and eight of the Navestock innings to restrict our opponents to a manageable target.
Ben's hat-trick consisted of a catch at mid-on by Nick, a well executed yorker which took out the batsman's middle stump the then to cap it off a catch by Ro, his first in his five year RCC playing career, at third slip! The pouch by Ro saw jubilant scenes erupt all over the Navestock square.
Ben then claimed the final wicket of the innings to record his best figures for the Club of 4 wickets for 14 runs off of 5.2 overs with one maiden. In doing so he also recorded the 23rd best bowling figures in Rosaneri history.
Well bowled Ben and let's hope we do not have to wait another 9 years for our next hat-trick.
As normal Ben wins top of the range shower products as will be presented with the mounted match ball as soon as the Club can find the funds to pay for it!
