Vs Eastons

The prep for this match was chaotic and the side featured 3 debutants which could have been a recipe for disaster for Captain Marcus.

However, it turned out to be completely the opposite as Rosaneri bossed this timed match from the very first ball.

Mike, who is now unrecognisable from 2 years ago, batted with sense and aggression to get the scoreboard motoring and the Pinks off to the best possible start. He thoroughly deserved his fifty and laid the foundations of putting Rosaneri into a dominant position.

Mike's quick fifty was followed by great work from Arthur and his new soft cut, and the introduction of batting showman Peter Fernandez!

Fernandez does not play himself in and looks to attack every ball. A mega quick 33 including 3 huge 6's had the RCC fans on the edge of their seats.

After the Fernandez roadshow things did calm down, and eventually Rosaneri declared at tea with a good total in the locker.

Eastons never really had any hope of chasing the total with rain on its way so the Pinks simply had to try and blast 10 quick wickets.

Before the rain arrived Jack, Raaye and the Fonz through a run out had Eastons 3 down and in trouble.

After the rain though the Pinks struggled to make the next breakthrough thanks to a resistant home partnership. Once the breakthrough came though the wickets started to tumble and 8 were down with 2 overs left.

Although the Pinks huffed and puffed they just couldn't blow the Eastons house down.

Good game and a good team performance.
