Vs Edmonton
Matt's injury was the only real low point in a great day for Rosaneri.
The team had a nice balance to it and was laden with banter and spirit. Edmonton won the toss and confidently decided to have a bat.
The Rosaneri attack was very accurate and as a result runs were hard to come by. But so were wickets and by 20 overs Edmonton had not lost any wickets, but were still well under a 100.
Darren bowled very well to the main batsman who eventually holed out to Jim at mid on. This was a massive wicket as the Rosaneri bowlers then tore through the remaining resistence.
Sinders bowled very well again, and seems in a good place right now with his bowling.
Coxy fielded to a supreme standard, and inspired the overall standard of the team with even the Fonz moving quickly to take a catch!
Rosaneri teams of the past had thrown away better positions than this, but Mike and Arthur opened the innings with the perfect tone to carry the game away from Edmonton extremely quickly. Mike in particular looked like he had jetted in from the IPL.
Mike was Umpire Shipman's first victim, but Arthur got his head down and pushed the pinks even closer to a famous win.
Marcus was the most unfortunate Shipman victim, but the Fonz, Charlie and Coxy all batted with zest to push Rosaneri to the winning line.
Every department pulled its weight to win this one. If only we could have played like this the week before..........
