Tony Trucker
No joy with the bat today but showed his usual dogged determination in the field.
Shel
Mr dependable with the bat top scoring again - technically superb, setting the standard for Rasaneri batting.
Stephen Underwood
Called up late and provided a valuable contribution with the bat. Looked assured and composed.
Andy Underwood
Soon got into his stride again and prdoduced an unbeaten 19 runs - was unlucky to run out of partners even though he came it at four! Was solid behind the stumps but needs to be a bit more alert for stumpings.
Graham Sparrey
Provided his usual control with the ball and was unlucky not get a wicket at a crucial stage of the game. Excellent in the field as usual. Was unlucky to be given out to a dubious LBW decision for a duck.
Nick Shewring
Failed to produce with the bat yet again when the team really needed a score. Redeemed himself with two great catches in the slips - beginning to look like a specialist slip fielder!
Mat Freeman
Not his usual self with the bat this week but dependable again with the ball. Bowled really well and got the best out of a dead pitch. A couple of wickets will help to bring his average up towards where it should be.
Mark Cox
Another who failed with the bat but was excellent again in the field - threw has body behind everything that came his way. Felt a bit low after a bout of the yips but he has a tendancy to be too hard on himself - bowled a maiden over and went for a total of 8 which is more than respectable as he certainly saved more than that with his fielding efforts. Specialist fielder - everywhere!!
Marcus
Showed real character to turn in a super performance with ball - looked a bit shaky in his third over but pulled himself together brilliantly. Dazzled by the headlights when holding the bat again though!
Paul Sindrey
Showed some promise with the bat but didn't last for long although in fairness to him was out to a great ball. Despite a lack of match practice started really well with the ball and looked dangerous but tailed off a bit towards the end of his spell as the batsmen started to hit out.
Steve Williams
Turned up with a heavily bruised ankle but played through the pain. Offered no resitance with the bat bat fielded like a terrier when called in to action. Mixed bag with the bowling - a nice maiden over followed by an expensive 14 run over that ultimately signalled the end of the game! A few too many down the leg side in the last over exposing a short boundary.
