Vs Botany Bay
This was an encounter where Rosaneri were simply outclassed by 1st XI league standard batsmen!
We played well, and tried hard, but four 1st teamers were too much for Rosaneri to handle on the day.
For the first 16 overs the Rosaneri bowlers were absolutely on top and the scoreboard had not topped 30. But then a couple of wickets introduced the parade of Daddies and although Marcus took a magnificent catch to dismiss one cheaply, the others helped themsleves as the scoreboard started to smoke!
The next break through a 100 or so runs later came from Captain Coxy.
For the second week running Stephen was the pick of the bowling and returned amazing figures.
The RCC batsmen were always going to be up against it with a high run rate, but the bowling was more or less our standard and not League 1st XI stuff.
Marcus ran himself out stupidly and Mike was cleand up early by one that nipped back. However, Slaps got his head down and ground out a nice 45.
Charlie looked good, but didn't last as long as we would have liked. Similar could be said for Adam.
Jim eventually got things going, but the run rate had long since flown! Nevertheless another unbeaten fifty was recorded and in much quicker time than the week before.
All in all, this was a good run out and we can be very pleased in how we performed as a team.
