Vs Edmonton
Tyrrell - Back behind the stumps this week and did really well. Out though way too quickly for the Pinks to achieve victory.
Mi. Freeman - Fielded with the energy of a statue in the early phases, but sprung to life with a great catch and a run out in the space of an over. Unfortunately his innings lasted as long as a lolly left out in the sun.
M. Cox - Has become more nagging with the ball than the mother in law from hell. Again the oppo struggled to get him away to record great economy. Spent good time at the crease and with double figures safely in the locker perished.
Hore - Another lovely innings to please the RCC faithfull, but somehow missed a lollipop full toss that should have ended up on the A10 ! It was more of a shock than Boris Johnson delivering a boring speech.
Ni. Shewring - Generated more chances than a night at speed dating, but unfortunately the catching in the field was poor. Batted in his usual fast and furious fashion and even another over could have propelled us to victory.
Sames - Great debut for Dean with some exceptional ground fielding and a top catch. Unfortunate to get caught by a fantastic catch while batting though.
Nichols - Came of age in this game as a bowler with a lovely opening spell. Should have been rewarded with at least one wicket if not more.
Patel - Was set about by the Edmonton star laden middle order in brutal style. On another day he could have cleaned them up, but the ball always seemed to just evade the fielder. Put on a lovely partnership with The Fonz, but just fell short of a well deserved half ton.
Downing - Bowled nicely without generating many chances. Batted well to get Rosaneri within touching distance, but was undone by a good bit of bowling.
Ma. Freeman - Picked up a two fer on a tough day in the field and then batted with a Captain's determination, but ended stranded with yet another not out.
S. Shewring - Turned up to help out at the last minute with the bat, but there was no fairytale ending.
