The lighter side of Cricket

Friday night’s match at Lincoln Road may have ended in defeat, but one of the real plus points was the emergence of a raw new bowling talent.

Kirk was clearly the best bowler on the night and this weeks clip shows a very similar style of bowling. The clip is taken from the 1981 Ashes Series, and shows Botham at his best taking five wickets for one run. Ironically the clip starts with Beefy taking two wickets in two balls which is something that Kirk repeated on Friday night.

There is a particularly nice bit in the commentary, when the commentator says, "And the crowd go noisily bezerk".
