Vs Holtwhites Trinibis

This was the game that should never have taken place.

At times it felt like we were "Doing it for charity", and in truth a full marathon would have been less painful !

We started late after a downpour, and then came on and off in sodden conditions. We were so wet at one point we stayed on the field during heavy rain and lightening bolts !!

In among the ridiculousness we actually bowled and fielded quite well. Although bowlers could only walk in to ensure their footing !

After what seemed like a full day we eventually got to the end of 40 overs with Ben Underwood the massive star. Levsy was not far behind with a polite brace, and others returned good figures.

The batting was doomed before it started as there was no way on earth that Rosaneri were ever going to have time to face 40 overs.

Not only this, but the pitch resembled a small scale replica of the Somme !

If the ball avoided the trenches it was very likely to take a massive deviation off the inflated seam, which stood 2 inches proud of the ball !

Then for the final curtain of a true fiasco Big Mike was timed out !! In fact if he had of been any slower we would have all been in the bar before he emerged to bat.

Not a great advert for cricket, but hopefully we still had a good day out.

This fish demonstrates what happened to the seam !
Groundstaff made a start on the pitch as soon as stumps were drawn
