Vs Buckhurst Hill
Tyrrell - Went hard from the start and the Paris critics are still applauding the unveiling of one of the modern wonders of the art world. Fantastic contribution.
Mi. Freeman - Batted like he was focussed on winning and unlucky to get out with a chop on when looking set for a big one. His fielding though was woeful.
Leigh - Covered lots of ground in the field, but played a pre determined swoosh to end his batting too soon.
Akyuz - Brilliant return behind the stumps to keep a lid on extras particularly from the random Freeman offerings. Batted nicely after being out for so long, but the runs never really started to flow.
Rose - Put in a really good shift in the field and managed a nice cameo over. Yet again the batting looked set, but disaster struck. Surely a good score is just round the corner.
Patel - Not since Botham's Ashes have fairytales worked out like this on a cricket pitch. Darren bowled a very nice spell to claim 3 wickets and then came out to bat with more authority than the toughest of Headmasters. Magnificent.
Sindrey - Bowled very nicely over two spells. Getting the big opener was crucial to this win. Also pouched a breathtaking catch to snaflle Adil.
Sparrey - Underplayed himself as usual when he captains, but still contributed superbly with good tactics, good fielding and good work with the bat.
Ni. Shewring - Really good work with the ball including a top googly. Then a classic Nick innings to smash quick runs to put the home team under massive pressure.
Downing - Mostly very good when bowling, but a few rubbish full tosses crept in to relieve the pressure at the wrong times. Ma. Freeman - The worst he has bowled for years ! This was most unlike Mat to lose his action as badly as this. God help the batsmen when he bounces back to form.
