Vs The Cotswolds
Tyrrell - Got the innings off to a sure start and maybe unlucky to get sent back to the hutch by the umpire. Fielded well.
Sparrey - Another who may have been unlucky to be given out, but more than made up for a batting disappointment with immaculate fielding. Good bowling as well.
Cully - Was the main stay of the batting with a super knock and then kept wicket to a County standard that captured 3 wickets. The highlight being the Crown Green Bowls run out.
Rose - Captained brilliantly to secure victory and uphold the Rosaneri standards. Batted very well by grafting, but threw his wicket away to a non Marcus shot.
M. Cox - Best innings yet for the club and then fielded for his life. Played a massive role in this famous victory.
S. Shewring - Never really got going to the Cuz standard with the bat, but bowled his superb mixed bag of delights to keep the home team under control.
N. Shewring - Got a first baller and look rusty with the ball after not turning his arm at all since last September. Fielded excellently and provided the usual high octane banter that all good wins need.
Downing - Hit a bad ball well, but was the victim of a good catch to end the batting early. Bowled superbly though as an opening bowler to keep the runs down and snaffle crucial wickets.
Sindrey - Steadied the ship with the willow to steer the good ship RCC to safer waters. Bowled excellently with some of the old zip returning.
Ma. Freeman - We now expect Mat to deliver runs in a tight spot and he did exactly that under extreme pressure. The six off Sandford was particularly impressive. Held back on the bowling front, but did the business to end late resistance.
S. Underwood - Didn't spend long at the wicket, but did what was asked of him well. Bowled a great line and length to return match winning figures.
