Will the teachers get a lesson ?
Today is match day, and Rosaneri Cricket Club go into battle against The Edmonton County School Teachers. The match is due to get underway at 6pm and is expected to be concluded at around 9pm.
Although our opponents are not to be underestimated this is our most realistic assignment to date. A strong looking team has been assembled. Slaps, Bloater and Tony will be playing as specialist batsmen and give the top of the order a lovely looking balance. The middle order will be bolstered with some solid Twenty/20 batsmen, and the tail end will provide entertainment.
The bowling attack may lack experience, but it does give the Captain multiple variations to help try to engineer a win.
Rosaneri have set themselves high standards in the field, but the focus must remain high as in the world of Twenty/20 games can be won and lost in the field.
Remember, ALL players are expected to help with scoring and umpiring while we bat. If you feel very unsure of what is required, please ask the Captain and he will find you something to do, even if it is only shadowing someone else in order to learn.
