Neighbour pulls the plug

Friday night’s Twenty/20 moves ever closer and the team went through their final paces in the Wednesday night net session. Batting had an energised look to it, and the bowling looked for control rather than aggression.

In fact Marcus was so dedicated to getting consistency in his bowling he declined his opportunity to bat. Everyone that attended worked on their own thing and progression was clearly made in all areas.

Jim has been named as Captain for Friday night, and Steve Shewring will take up the Vice Captain’s role.

It must also be mentioned that the music is on hold for Friday, as Enfield Cricket Club are at the mercy of a persistent complainant who writes to the council at the slightest hint of opportunity. The irony is that the complaint is very likely to be dealt with during the course of council business but one of our own players.

Players are reminded to bring their Pink Twenty/20 shirt and white trousers to avoid the embarrassment of fielding in your underpants. A big crowd is expected at the home of cricket in North London.
