Go hard or go home !
Rosaneri fans are demanding more wins this year and without doubt one man is the key.
That man is Mr Bell.
Let me tell you why. The bowlers will always do ok between them, but winning matches always comes down to setting enough runs or chasing down a total. The bowling is obviously important, but not vital. It is all about the right number of runs for the conditions.
The key to setting a winning target is the start as is the key to a successful chase.
If you look at our most recent good wins, we have got on top early and then carried things on. Very rarely have we started steadily and then kicked on under pressure to bring home the bacon.
Without doubt Mr Bell can distrupt and destoy a bowling attack on his own and once in the zone can win the game if he lasts 20 overs.
"Go hard, or Go home !"
20 overs of Bell going hard will usually raise the white flag of most opponents. It doesn't always come off, but when it does the Rosaneri fans love it.
It would be nice to improve the win ratio for 2012 compared to 2011, and the difference may well be a fully fit Mr Bell going hard from the start.
On the occasions though when it doesn't come off we need others to step up the task and score at a rate that keeps us in the game and if possible on top of the game. So when you are in the middle and the scoreboard is barely ticking please remember the big man's mantra..............
