A sorry end to the season
Sunday's game against Belhus CC has been unfortunately cancelled due to our lack of available players. With only 7 confirmed starters and all other avenues explored the only option open to us was to call off the match to give Belhus a chance to rearrange another game.
Clubs like Belhus rely on their bar takings so a free week for them means no money so we hope that they can find another opponent in time.
It is the first time in the Club's history that we have had to cancel a fixture and we need all players to do all that they can next season to ensure that a similar episode does not happen again.
This sad state of affairs brings down the curtain on the 2011 season with our final playing record reading as:
5 wins, 13 defeats, 1 tie, 2 draws with 1 game abandoned due to the weather.
Next up for the Club will be the fixture fire side debate, the Christmas meal and then the AGM.
