Vs Great Waltham

Tyrrell – This game confirmed Mr Bell as the match winner that he is. The fact that the oppo senior pro targeted him was a real honour. Took a catch while fielding to keep hope alive in the Golden Fielder and moved clear in the six race.

Mi. Freeman – In the middle of a real purple patch and in the batting form of his life. Batted with purpose and focus to get the chase of to a flying start and was most unfortunate to pick out a top fielder who was never going to drop a sharp chance.

Akyuz – Looked so sharp behind the stumps that the club first aider had to be on full standby in case he cut himself. Very unlucky not to get a brilliant stumping given when standing up to Stephen when one of the bats who went on to get a ton hadn't got off the mark. How different could things have been ?

Rose – Up and down in the field with some very good and some very bad. Batted well and looked set before disaster struck. Will feel as though runs were left behind in the middle.

Downing – Got to bowl at the worse time, but probably payback for bowling himself against kids at North Weald ! Nice knock with the bat, but needed to bat through if the pinks were going to win.

M. Cox – Nice little cameo with the ball and fielded very well despite a sprained wrist.

Sindrey – A great comeback when bowling, although slightly slower, the accuracy and skill were abundant to see. Gave it a go with the bat, but looked rusty. Captained to an excellent standard.

Hore – Used as a bowler yet again, but didn't get a shred of luck. Scored runs, but didn't look as fluid as he can do when in match winning form.

Ni. Shewring – Put together two nice spells and was most unfortunate not to add to the wicket tally. Batted superbly at almost a 200% strike rate which featured some very well struck 4's.

Ma. Freeman – Not at his bowling best, but did manage the crucial breakthrough and went on to pick up the wickets he deserved last week ! Solid with the bat until getting caught behind.

S. Underwood – Stephen deserved much more than the figures he returned with the ball after some really good work in the face of another onslaught. Took a stunning catch and then batted with expansive freedom and was unlucky to be left stranded.
