G. Tyrrell – Won the early duels with the Enfield opening bowlers with two fours and a huge six into the tennis courts but was undone by a good delivery which brought disappointment to the faces of the Rosaneri fans.
Mi. Freeman – Picked up the pace of his knock well in the later stages of the game and almost brought the team home to a historic victory by batting through the whole innings and recording his best ever score for the Club.
M. Rose – Fielded brilliantly but fell LBW to one that he though he got an inside edge to.
A. Jones – Struggled with his timing early in his innings but kept at it to build a good fifty partnership with Big Mike to set the foundations of the run chase.
K. Akyuz – Another week another stumping which puts him within striking distance of the Golden Fielder trophy. Another who struggled with the bat before falling to the young leg spinner.
A. Underwood – Kept the Rosaneri spirits up with his spot on rain fall predictions. Bowled nicely but was castled by a corking delivery from the left arm pace bowler.
M. Cox – A top spell of medium pace line and length bowling checked the Enfield onslaught at a crucial time. Fell to a top class caught and bowled during the mayhem of the run chase.
R. Hore – Devastating with the ball and claimed three vital wickets which brought the run rate tumbling down. Another who was unlucky enough to receive a peach of a delivery which rattled into his off stump.
Ni. Shewring – Opened the bowling and bowled well in two spells. Unselfishly ran himself out when trying to go for quick runs and now leads the ducks league table with four games to go. However, two catches puts him in with an outside change of the Golden Fielder trophy.
J. Downing – Captained very well and bowled with good variation to pick up two wickets to go joint top of the leading wicket takers table. Then was almost the hero of the whole show off of the last ball of the match.
S. Underwood – Bowled beautifully to snaffle two wickets including a great caught and bowled. Also took a top catch in the deep to get rid of the top Enfield scorer.
