Vs Dunmow

Mi. Freeman – Took another catch to keep up his quest for the Golden Fielder, but was caught himself while batting just as the runs were beginning to flow.

Ebbs – Made a very difficult catch look very easy to dismiss a good batsman. Looked slightly uncomfortable when batting and never really cut loose.

Shuttlewood – Got right involved while fielding and saw a massive amount of action. The ground fielding in particular was immaculate. Not an ideal game to ease your way back in with the bat after injury and unfortunately didn't trouble the scorer.

A. Underwood – Kept wicket like a seasoned pro apart from the gimme stumping that went begging. The batting was back to its very best as controlled power put the pinks within touching distance of victory. A great innings.

Rose – Captained very well and the batting got off to a great start with an early 4, but disaster struck soon after.

Hore – A scoreboard steadying spell with the ball was followed by “The Fonz” calmly steering runs around the pitch, but he unfortunately departed before victory was secured.

Ni. Shewring – Plugged away after a rocky first over and had chances fluffed by the fielders to deny what could easily have been a 3 fer. Batted at the right pace under pressure, but played round a straight one.

Sparrey – Probably under played by the skipper batting at 8 and only bowling 4 and unfortunately didn't have time for his usual innings when coming in with the run rate fully cranked up.

Downing – Bowled a lovely controlled spell of 6 overs and then went to pot in the second spell as he allowed himself to be bullied by a switch hitting daddy. Batted in the right style, but a rush of blood somehow produced a woeful slog that signalled the end.

J. Shewring – Bowled the very unusual 7 and 1 over spell pattern, but it seemed to work as he produced his best ever performance with the ball to record sensational figures of 2 for 17 in 8 overs. The batting was also top draw as he adapted to the scenario perfectly and was most unlucky to be left stranded at the end.

Ma. Freeman – Bowled well, but was slightly more expensive than Rosaneri fans would have expected. Looked set with the bat until a great catch snuffed out the Rosaneri victory march.
