Tyrrell – Took a massive whack on the shin in the field and may have to consider wearing shinpads in the future. Batted in a steady and assured fashion before being undone by a well disguised slower ball.
Mi. Freeman – Bagged a catch and spilled another much tougher chance and went on to play a classic innings with the bat. Steady to start with and then explosive before the energy tank eventually registered zero.
Akyuz – Capped a very good keeping display with a nice stumping before lighting the touch paper to a damp looking Rosaneri chase. Didn't spend long at the crease, but took risks and injected purpose to the innings.
Jones – A real shining star on a damp and overcast day. Fielded to the Mark Cox Gold Star standard which included a sharp catch of a prized wicket. Then batted in a very special way that had all Rosaneri fans believing that the chase was on. Played elegant strokes all round the wicket in the innings of a true champion.
Alfieri – Fielded with his usual vigour and cut off numerous runs. Holed out first ball with the bat though.
Rose – Surprisingly used as a bowler and put in a good shift where he was very unlucky not to grab wickets. Went out to bat with a high run rate required and as usual didn't play for his average with carefree bluster. Never gave up and really wanted victory.
Sparrey – Underplayed himself as Captain and the best of Slaps will have to wait for another week when he is not captaining.
Downing – Bowled a straight 8 over opening spell to return good figures with just one or two loose ones. Walked into his batting nightmare with not even time for one ball to play himself in and was removed by a grubber.
J. Shewring – Opened the bowling to good effect, but didn't get the breaks to snaffle deserved wickets. Came in with urgent runs required while batting and gave it a real go to end up 20 not out.
Ma. Freeman – Answered the call of crisis to get to the ground and help his team. Bowled a revved up spell of pace and walked away with a trophy wicket.
Ni. Shewring – Underused as a bowler yet again, but still managed to create wicket taking chances and can consider himself unlucky not to snaffle at least a brace.
