The Cotswolds are coming !
We are now in to the holiday season and very much experiencing the usual player availability crisis.
Things are not too bad, but as this is being written we still need two players for Sunday. Irons are in fires though and we still hope to name a full 11.
Next week sees the home leg of the Cotswolds double header and the team for that game should be named over the weekend. The whole squad have made their availability known and the selectors are just finalising the line up.
It was great to see Jimmy Mitchell back playing last week at Enfield and hopefully we will see him again before the 2011 season ends. Jimmy always gives 100% and his bowling is a great asset for any captain.
We raised a fraction under £300 for charity on Sunday, and massive thanks must go out to Sheridan, Mat and Mrs Cox in particular.
The club competitions are bubbling up nicely and they are more or less all wide open. The particular highlights are the Golden Fielder and Super Six Cup where anyone one from 6 or 7 players can secure the silverware.
