Vs St Margaretsbury

Mi. Freeman -Took a nice catch and then batted with purpose until losing his wicket.

Ebbs – Fielded excellently and then really got the innings moving with a well constructed knock that included some eye pleasing strokes.

Tyrrell – Snaffled two good looking catches to put himself right back in the Golden Fielder picture, but didn't enjoy any luck with the bat.

Rose – Captained very well and came painfully close to pulling off a famous victory. Got the best out of his players even though on this occasion he left his own best batting at home !

Akyuz – Did the business as usual behind the stumps and in the process grabbed a hat-trick of catches. Played a very mature innings to help kick start the rebuild process after a massive collapse.

Downing – Bowled some very good and some very bad in a mixed spell, but redeemed himself with the bat by constructing a near match winning innings. In the end though may have cost us victory after all the good work by not refusing the bye that put Stephen on strike for the last over.

Ni. Shewring – Bowled nicely without hitting last years top form to secure his normal brace of wickets. Batted with vigour, but holed out when looking set.

S. Shewring – More good bowling and a very lively caught and bowled to keep himself in front as the club's leading wicket taker. Steve's batting was top draw and successfully fused big hitting with careful defence.

J. Shewring – Turned in a great bowling performance that ripped through the tail in double quick fashion. A 4 for not many was Jack's best performance to date.

Hore – Didn't stray off the stumps with his usual spell of accurate dot balls. Looked in total control with the bat until falling to a doubt ridden bat pad lbw.

S. Underwood – Opened proceedings with an accurate and intelligent opening salvo that secured two wickets and greatly limited runs.
