Vs Lindsell

Tyrrell – Played the only way he knows and that is why the RCC fans love him. This was one of those occasions when it didn't work, but it is all worthwhile when it does. Took a jugglers catch at slip to dismiss the oppo daddy batsman.

Mi. Freeman – Created club history by taking four catches in one innings, one of which was a diving one handed grab where he literally flew past the square leg umpire. But then somehow mentally slept while batting as his body took up block mode ! This was Big Mike at his best/worst depending on your view point of comedy/team ethics/Wisden records.

Akyuz – Maintained his usual high standard behind the stumps and then oozed confidence while leading the charge from the number 3 spot.

Wick – Enjoyed a fine debut in which the bowling figures were particularly impressive. The batting only lasted for the one ball though. Seemed to enjoy the Rosaneri experience and hopefully will be back for more at a later stage.

M. Cox – Had a go with the ball, but didn't manage to repeat the heroics of Theydon Bois. Mark's batting was pure no nonsense though and the pressure of that hat trick ball was immense. But our No nonsense hero simply whacked it for four.

A. Underwood – Had a tough job wearing the armband, but did it to a very fair and high standard. The bowling stood out with a nice little 2 fer and the caught and bowled was the icing on the cake.

Hore – Bowled an incredible 4 overs, 4 maidens, but couldn't really bowl flat out due to the circumstances. Pumped up the run rate when batting to make sure that a 10,000/1 draw never materialised that Mike had started to make look like a reality !

Ma. Freeman – Bowled his usual tight and accurate offerings off the two pace run up and then guided us home with more top batting.

Downing – Dusted off the off spin to snaffle a brace and torment the batsmen on a pitch that gripped and ripped.

G. Cox – Bowled superbly and didn't get an ounce of the luck he deserved for a great opening spell. Probably the most hard done by in terms of fairness, but there wasn't much else on this occasion that the skipper could have done. Hopefully his luck can turn next week and wickets and runs can follow.

S. Shewring – Returned the best figures of his Rosaneri career with a well crafted 4 fer and unlucky not to secure his first 5 wicket haul. Currently top of the bowling charts and now has a real chance to have his name engraved in RCC history.
