Inside the fixture chaos

Today’s news article concerns the ongoing fixture juggling. Although not 100% confirmed, I thought it necessary to let everyone know what is going on.

Firstly, the game against Edmonton County School Teachers may well still go ahead on the original planned date of Friday the 8th of June. The match now all depends on a new venue being confirmed by the early part of the coming week.

However, regardless of whether or not the original fixture goes ahead, a second fixture is being lined up at the original venue. This match has been pencilled in for Friday the 6th of July.

So basically, we may end up playing two games or we may just play the one match on July the 6th. Concrete news will follow as soon as confirmed.

Secondly, our proposed trip to The Cotswolds now looks set for Sunday the 15th of July. The pitch is booked and we are virtually 99% certain to play on this date. However, the match organiser Bloater, now cannot play with the new date. This is a major blow for the club and for him personally, so last minute attempts have taken place to find an alternative date. So far though, a new date has not been possible to establish.
