Vs Eastons

Jones – Looked in good nick for the opening exchanges but was undone by a great bit of bowling.

Leigh – Took on the unfamiliar role of opening and did a nice job until selecting the wrong shot and having the top of the bails shaved.

Ma. Freeman – Took to the higher ranks of the batting like a duck to water. A smart, defiant innings at the right time was perfect to provide the launch pad for the late assault that followed. Also bowled a nice 6 over spell to return a wicket.

M. Cox – Was the victim of a Dick Dastardly stumping that didn't seem right for a Sunday friendly, but shrugged it off to field in his usual immaculate fashion.

Rose – Batted nicely, but never looked 100% set before gloving one to the keeper. Did a good shift with the ball and unlucky not to grab some wickets.

Cully – Ian put together a perfect innings that started in circumspect fashion and then blossomed into a six festival. Thoroughly deserved to raise his bat.

Akyuz – Supported Ian to get the scoreboard rolling in another great display with the willow. Did the now expected good work behind the stumps in rather tricky light and conditions.

S. Shewring – Added fast runs when required as tea approached and then bowled another nice spell to keep himself bang in contention for the clubs Leading Wicket taker competition.

G. Cox – 2 balls and 2 fours pleased the away fans while batting and then completed a days good work with a wicket taking opening spell with the ball.

Downing – Fielded well and bowled a lovely run conserving 5 over spell. But just didn't get lucky in the wicket taking department.

Ni. Shewring – Had a very quiet game and only ended up bowling 4 overs in conditions that must have been a leg spinners worst nightmare.
