Vs Datchworth

Mi. Freeman – Managed to get the diving stop working again in the field and then provided an excellent 40 odd with the bat to lay firm foundations for a potential run chase. Just a shame that he didn't go on for a big one.

J. Shewring – Fielded to the highest Mark Cox benchmark standard and capped a fielding master class with an assured catch. Bravely opened the batting, but things never got going.

Akyuz – This was Kurt's finest innings to date and an innings that was perfect for the match situation. There was no hanging back and runs started to flow from the start. Big hits and controlled placement combined to help record a personal best of 42.

Tyrrell – Looked out of position at 4 and gave his wicket away with a big swoosh which was a big shame for the travelling support who had such high hopes.

Tona – Cut off a load of runs with some excellent ground fielding but then cut off Rosaneri's winning chances by running out Jim when he looked set for a big innings.

Ni. Shewring – Captained very well and fairly in tricky circumstances. Unfortunately had to bowl at a top batsman who was clearly set and registered a golden with the bat.

Downing – Bowled two good and two rancid overs in a very mixed spell. Got going with the bat immediately and looked focussed on chasing down the target until being run out by yards.

G.Cox – Bowled nicely without being at his very best and secured a nice brace of wickets. But the batting stole the show with a traditional Gareth hell raising blast attack that yielded 40 in no time.

Fromet – A great debut for the club that saw good overs, a wicket and a stubborn knock with the bat.

Lalor – Bowled fast and straight in a great shift of fast bowling. Also fielded with high energy and effort despite the hangover.

S. Shewring - Bowled well even though the figures looked a little high. Took one great catch and the away fans will always talk about the what ifs of the other rocket of a chance. Looked nice with the bat and as though runs were coming, but was left stranded not out.
