Vs The Cotswolds

Tyrrell – Did all that was asked in the field and then really set about the run chase with traditional Mr Bell vigour. Smashed the first ball for 4 and didn't hold back until getting caught.

A. Underwood – Got stick from the home crowd in the field, but silenced the boo boys with a well planned 50 that gave the pinks a good launch pad to have a dart at victory.

Mi. Freeman – Re advertised his bowling abilities with a outstanding 3 over cameo that gave the pinks at least some hope. Never really got going with the bat in the unfamiliar role of number 3.

Cully – Set a new club record while wicket keeping by not conceding a single bye or leg bye. Batted with energy and was moving the ball around from the start, but unfortunately got out too quickly.

M. Cox – Absolutely outstanding in the field with not a single recorded mistake. Also turned in a delightful contribution with the bat that inserted energy into a period of the game that had gone to sleep.

Tona – Came in at the last minute and did the club proud. Made some crucial stops in the field and died trying with the bat.

G. Cox – Bowled a wonderful line and length throughout and deserved at least a wicket for his magnificent effort. Raised up the order to get the scoreboard moving and cashed in on a bizarre lifeline to add 20 quick runs.

Rose – Got in a good couple of rope a dope overs in early on and then took a nice catch and fielded really well. However, it was the batting that stole the show with a well crafted 40 in no time at all to bring Rosaneri into sight of the chase down target. Under enormous pressure this was the innings of the year so far. Well done sir.

Ni. Shewring – Bowled a nice first spell, but things went slightly wrong in the second spell that ruined his figures. Looked comfortable at the crease, but the runs were not flowing.

S. Shewring – Took early wickets and returned the attractive figures that his bowling deserved. Another who died trying with the bat.

Downing – Bowled much better in the second spell when the pressure was really on at the close of the innings, and didn't really get the chance with the bat as left marooned not out after only facing 3 balls.
