Vs Enfield

Mi. Freeman – Looked in good form until politely sledged into an unusual rash shot and paid the price. The bowling radar was switched off and to cap a bad day he had to be carried from the pitch with a knee injury.

J. Shewring – Undone by good bowling early on, but came roaring back into the game with the ball. Bowled a nice mixed bag of off spin and bowled a top batsman.

Jones – Started confidently and it looked like a long smooth innings was on the cards. However disaster struck with a poor shot that looped to a fielder.

A. Underwood – Bowled by a jaffa that would have been too good for anyone in the Rosaneri line up. Picked up a wicket in a cameo two over burst.

Leigh – Didn’t do so well with the bat, but performed wonders with the collection tin ! This is always a difficult day for Shell to perform as his mind is fully focused on fundraising.

Cully – Batted very nicely to begin a recovery from virtual disaster for the Pinks, but the fielding side of things ended quickly with a torn hamstring. Ouch !

Rose – Had his big game head on again and really got stuck into the rebuilding effort, but then a ball of Shane Warne like proportions rattled the stumps.

Hoare – Calm and stylish in an exceptionally valuable 31 with the bat. The foot movement and supreme shot selection to the tricky leg spinner was a lesson to any of the youngsters watching. Nice bowling without hitting top form.

Downing – Took advantage of a few change bowlers to help Rosaneri to a respectable total and thoroughly deserved to raise the bat for a mature half ton.

G. Cox – The trademark box office swatting of the ball livened a subdued crowd, but the bowling was his major input. The figures are best ignored as this performance with the ball was one of the best of the season. Gareth genuinely beat the bat of first XI players with ease and simply didn’t pick up the multiple rewards that he deserved.

Ma. Freeman – Contributed in his reliable fashion with the bat from the 11 berth and picked up two wickets while wearing the bowling boots.
