Captain named

The Captain for the forthcoming game against Enfield Cricket Club can be confirmed as Graham Sparrey, with the Vice Captain being Nick Shewring.

Graham is one of the club's most experienced cricketers and has now played continually at club level for over 15 seasons. He has ironically always been attached to Enfield Cricket Club, but now has a chance to lead out Rosaneri at the place he has always known as home.

Batting is really Graham's forte, but he will be invaluable in this game for his inside knowledge on the opposition. Nick picks up the role of Vice Captain, and is eager to improve his all round knowledge of the cricketing world.

In other news, the new net session at Hoddessdon went very well even though only 3 players turned up and the weather was far from perfect. The facilities were magnificent and Rosaneri had 6 lanes at their disposal.

The real bonus of the net was the massive improvement shown by Coxy. His batting looked comfortable and his bowling took on a new accuracy. Jim and Nick also put in good work ahead of Sundays big game.

Milkshakes and banter in the cafe ended a perfect session. The real bonus for the club was not only that nets were cheap to book, but also that we carried on for an extra half hour before walking off at our own leisure.
