Vs Enfield

Mi. Freeman – Batted as we have now come to expect in an assured fashion and posted another excellent return for the club’s cause. However, the fielding was of a tired man in need of a close season to rebuild his body.

J. Shewring – Jack is the real deal after only two games for Rosaneri  and recorded a maiden fifty for the club. This innings was again stylish and at a pace that helped build a big total. The bowling was ok, but not as good as it can be.

A. Underwood – Batted poorly, but saved his day with a nice cameo with the ball.

B. Underwood – Got a first baller while batting, but sprung to life in the last over of the day with a brace of wickets.

Rose – This was an innings of utter quality that put Rosaneri firmly in control of a tough match. Marcus held back his urge to smash everything until he had become accustomed to conditions, but once he had his eye in he selected the appropriate ball to smash. His maiden fifty for the club came with an imperious six that the Emperor of Lincoln Road himself would have been proud of.

Downing – Batted well in a supporting role to the big hitting Marcus. Bowled a spell that generated chances and eventually snaffled the crucial breakthrough wicket. The fielding was excellent with man like throwing and direct hit after direct hit.

G. Cox – Bowled an excellent ration of overs that in truth dragged the game back from the brink. Surely the reward of the wickets he deserves are just round the corner.

Akyuz – Smartly kept wicket which peaked with a critical stumping when the game was still genuinely in the balance.

S. Shewring – Captained with the result in mind, but was also very fair to those who were not performing anywhere near their best. His own bowling was also of the highest order at a time when the team really needed it.

Ma. Freeman – Bowled well, but the pitch simply offered no reward to the pace men. The fielding was bordering on majestic with a great catch and a direct hit run out.

Sindrey – Suffered on a wicket designed for batsmen, but was very unlucky not to grab a wicket in his better second spell. He will bounce back literally in the very near future.
