Vs Theydon Bois

It was a tight week this week with voters being split over Jack’s great debut and Mark’s superb bowling display.

In the end though the votes stacked up in the favour of Mark Cox.

Mark bowled superbly and reaped the rewards for bowling straight and at the stumps. For this fantastic performance Mark wins top of the range shower products.

Below are the rather long thoughts of one of our voters;

3 candidates that spring to mind;

Mike - solid opening partnership with the colt, fantastic close fielding
and a lovely bowling spell at the end that included some genuine pace.
Admittedly in fading light at rabbits.

Jack - I said he would probably be good before the match and he didn’t
disappoint. It was like watching Bloater bat but with technique and
placement.  If it wasn’t for his dad giving him LBW to one going down the
leg side, he'd still be at the crease now.  Bowled a very nice short spell
that kept the classy openers at bay and will win lots of MOM's in the
future for sure.

Cox M - Wasn't the only one to get out to a good bowler.  Fielded as
brilliantly as ever including one impossible boundary stop that included
a bit of body popping for good measure.  Then bowled 2 fantastic spells of
line and length to walk off with career best figures that put most rosaneri
bowlers to shame.

My head says Jack as he top scored and bowled against the best batsmen.
However, I’m going to listen to my soul and give it to Coxy for returning
4-8.

Special mentions for the fair captaincy of Paul and to Slaps coming in at
the last minute, scoring part of the innings, not getting a bat, bowling
and fielding very well and being a top bloke as ever. Had he got a score,
he would be one of the candidates.
