Vs The Cotswolds

Tyrrell – Set the tone for the Rosaneri run chase with a magnificent six into the tennis courts, but couldn’t go onto the heights of last week.

Mi. Freeman – Fielded at his best to take two catches and then went on to bat with superb style until nicking one to slip.

Tona – Saved numerous runs with immaculate ground fielding and batted well even though he got slightly bogged down in the pursuit of runs.

G. Cox – Bowled a very tidy opening spell and had a go at pinch hitting from the number 4 slot. The runs didn’t flow as he would have hoped, but didn’t waste any time.

A. Underwood – Took the best catch of his Rosaneri career and fielded like his life depended on it. Did ok with the bat, but always looked under pressure and not relaxed like when the runs flow.

Cully – Kept wicket brilliantly, with the stumping of a crucial wicket being the highlight. Then turned in a batting display of the highest calibre and in the process recorded a superb half century.

Downing – Bowled a neat spell that kept the runs down at a key period and then acted as the catalyst to get the Rosaneri victory charge going. Did get out though at a vital moment with a rash shot.

Ma. Freeman – Surprisingly expensive with the ball, but more than made up for it with the bat. Very nearly got the job done, but perished in the last over.

Sindrey – Bowled magnificently in the first spell, then went for a few at the start of the second spell, but roared back to bowl a couple of belting overs at the death.

Sparrey – Was the pick of the bowling by a mile and ended up with 4 thoroughly deserved wickets. Then nearly rounded off a great day by taking us to an inch of victory with the bat.

Mitchell – Not at his best in an under par first spell, but showed his class in a brilliant second spell with the team under pressure. Bravely tried to win the game with the bat, but the mighty task was just beyond him.
