Vs Buckhurst Hill

Mi. Freeman – Got the Rosaneri reply off to an assured start and just as he looked ready to kick on for a big score he saw the umpire’s finger for an lbw departure.

S. Shewring – Bowled a nice little spell to limit the runs, took a nice catch and bravely stood up to open the batting. The batting could have gone better, but he did manage to blunt the energy of the home side before departing.

Tona – Batted in a very watchful manner to occupy the crease for an hour and support Shell in a 50+ partnership. Just what the team needed at a critical time in the chase.

Leigh – This was just what we have come to expect from Shell. Totally on top of the bowling and played beautifully crafted shots to eagerly chase a formidable total.

Asser – Fielded well in almost painfully hot conditions and batted well until being run out.

G. Cox – Didn’t bowl to his usual standards, but certainly came to the party with the bat. A massive six was the highlight of a brilliant cameo 20.

Lalor – A great Rosaneri debut. Fielded as if his life depended on it and bowled with fire and passion. Massively unlucky not to get a well deserved wicket.

Akyuz – Kept his cool behind the stumps on a day of hot weather and frustration and delivered another immaculate display. Batted sensationally to drive the team on for potential victory and was only dismissed to a superb caught and bowled.

Sindrey – Bowled with pace and aggression throughout, but saved the best over till last as the home team were looking for runs. Wafted the bat to good effect in a selfless manner as the game situation dictated.

Downing – The pick of the bowling this week with great economy to swing the game back in a Rosaneri direction. Then batted with utter determination to secure the draw.

Ma. Freeman – Bowled a double shift and overtime in a sapping afternoon of bowling, and then had enough left to save the day with the bat.
