The Big Fixture of the summer has finally been confirmed against The Cotswolds, and it can now be revealed that the date has been set for Sunday the 8th of July.
Eastnor Castle will again play host to Rosaneri’s big summer road trip. Last years event took the shape of a 3 team Twenty/20 tournament in which an under prepared Rosaneri finished a distant last. This year will see just two teams, but the game will take the shape of two innings per side of 25 overs.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since last year, and Rosaneri will be a different proposition this time around. The Pinks also have the advantage of Scholesy’s team having withdrawn from the event. This will be a particular boost to Marcus who still wakes up in the middle of the night after hearing the sound of cracking pavilion roof slates.
The game will start around 12pm and will have lunch and tea built into the days order of play. Event organiser and friend of the club, Steve Berryman, is currently quoting Rosaneri at 6/4 to leave The Cotswolds with victory in their satchel. This price will surely appeal to Rosaneri’s gamblers, in an attempt to win back some of their hard earned that was left behind last year.
