Tyrrell – Captained very well and made good decisions under pressure and just had one of those days with the bat.
Tona – Displayed safe hands at a crucial time to secure a breakthrough wicket and overall fielded to a very high standard. Undone by an old fox while batting, but form will return with a run of games.
Akyuz- Didn’t put a glove wrong behind the stumps in amazingly hot conditions. It was after the Lord Mayor’s show with the bat though.
Mi. Freeman – Fielded very well considering he was under the weather and stabilised the batting with a typically technically display that ended unluckily with a stonking catch.
Levett – Set about his batting with the swagger and energy of a stock market trader looking to make a name for himself. Showed zero respect to the bowling, made his own luck and gave Rosaneri fans something to cheer about when the chips were well and truly down.
G. Cox – At last Gareth got a proper chance to remind people what he can do with the bat and he certainly made the most of it. Some beautifully executed shots gave real hope of victory until disaster struck.
Downing – Bowled an excellent spell that slowed the run rate right down and took the wicket of the main man for a golden. Started to look very comfortable while batting, but chopped one onto his own stumps.
Sindrey – Bowled very nicely in hot weather but didn’t pick up the reward he deserved after beating very good batsmen on numerous occasions. Got himself out with a lapse of concentration.
Ma. Freeman – Not at his best with the ball but still took a vital wicket. Batted well and was unlucky to depart to an excellent caught and bowled.
M. Cox – Has taken fielding to a new level, but a serious blow to the hand meant that batting was a difficult proposition.
S. Underwood – This was a real all round performance. Bowled his usual nagging line and length to grab two wickets, took a vital catch and then went on to bat with freedom in a late rally at victory. Well done sir.
