Vs North Weald

Tyrrell – Looked stylish and in good form before his innings ended prematurely. Snaffled a lovely one handed pluck at point to cap a solid performance.

Mi. Freeman – A quiet day at the office for our new run machine, but still helped get the pinks off to a very solid start.

Jones – Looked set for another big score on this pitch until the last ball before a rain break kept low and nailed him unluckily leg before wicket.

Downing – Batted well until a lapse of concentration saw his off pole clipped. Bowled very well to smash up the North Weald top order and return a deserved 4 fer.

Leigh – More out of form than Wayne Rooney at the moment, but his bowling came to rescue with two massive wickets that nearly opened the door of victory.

Levett – Batted briefly but positively, fielded superbly and then went on to bowl a great over at the death.

Rose – Captained to a very high standard and successfully balanced fairness with a desire to win the game. Bowled very tidily and took an excellent catch at mid off.

Akyuz – After a year or so of trying the old batting magic finally came back. Put together a very assured 22 not out and heavily contributed to the partnership that put Rosaneri firmly in control of the game.

S. Shewring – Came together with Kurt when Rosaneri were firmly on the ropes and ducking and weaving for relief. Played himself in nicely and then smoothly slipped into attack mode to leave the crease unbeaten and his team in charge. Bowled a nice mixed bag as well to record a top all round display.

Ma. Freeman – Bowled an energy sapping 11 overs at a brilliant economy rate. Bagged a late wicket and held a very good catch at mid on.

G. Cox – This was not Gareth’s best performance of the season where he just didn’t seem to click in a spell from either end. Still managed a wicket though to keep himself out in front in the Most Wickets trophy.
