Vs Broxbourne

Tyrrell – Looked calm, assured and more than capable to bat the pinks to victory, but disaster struck and pink dreams faded.

Sindrey – His opening spell was more or less bowling perfection, but didn’t get the same control against well seasoned campaigners late on. Need not apply for an opening batting berth again.

Leigh – wear the keeping gloves in style and kept things neat and tidy throughout. The batting promised loads from the very first ball, but just as set, a rare error ended another potential match winners innings.

M. Cox – Returned to action for the first time this season and had a stormer. Fielded with magnificent energy and then went on to contribute significantly to the team run chase with a superb innings.

Jones – Classy as usual and really set off at full speed to secure Rosaneri victory. If he had of batted for another 10 overs Rosaneri would have gone very close.

Levett – Took a brilliant catch and fielded excellently throughout. A shame that the antique bat didn’t get a chance to shine.

Mi. Freeman – Captained well and batted superbly under pressure nursing a badly smashed up nose. He had to rush off at the end though to do Paul’s laundry and clean his boots !

Downing – Bowled well at the start of spell and gradually weakened, but overall a good effort. Had a go with the bat at the high run rate, but got out to the worst ball he faced.

Ma. Freeman – Bowled very well in two spells and picked up a deserved brace. Batted in the usual gritty, “Let’s get on with it” style to make sure the crowd had an exciting finish.

S. Underwood – Bowled better than his figures suggested against good batsmen on an unrewarding surface.

G. Cox – Another who started off well and then gradually fell away with the ball. Came in at 11 and only faced one ball that he smashed for 4. The traveling fans really thought Gareth could do it even at 10 an over, but Stephen’s stumps rattling ended the game.
