Vs Sawbridgeworth

The votes have all been cast and counted and the man of the match versus Sawbridgeworth can be revealed as Jim Downing.

A total of 4 players received votes, but Jim just edged it from the Freeman brothers and Slaps.

Below is one voters summary;

Nobody really shone with the ball – so I’m basing my MOM vote on the batting and all round performance.

Sinders - captained with authority and certainty, giving the team great belief; also bowled well on a pitch that offered little reward.

Mike - contributed more than a third of the runs that we totaled.  Started very positively racing to 19 early on, but then got bogged down.  Sadly his run out of Sinders tarnished the performance for me, in his desperation for another 50.

Jim – bowled well despite conceding slightly more than the average run rate.  Fielded well, and didn’t expose a ‘dodgy’ throw!  Provided some much needed oomph to our run rate when needed, and made the possibility of victory a distinct reality.  Provided the calm before the storm that destroyed the Rosaneri house of cards like tail!  One of only 2 batsmen not to have been bowled!

For that reason Jim gets my MOM vote.
