Super bowling does it again

The magnificent setting of Botany Bay provided the back drop to Rosaneri making their best ever start to the season by securing their 3rd consecutive win.

Shell won the toss and asked the home team to bat.

Paul and Mat started at full throttle and the Pinks were clearly on top in the early exchanges. The home team rallied and gradually built a nice launch pad to potentially kick on and secure a good total.

However, Gareth had other ideas and continued his own amazing start to the season by taking 5 victims including the prize wicket of Richardson with a super caught and bowled.

In the end Botany Bay were restricted to a modest 115.

The Rosaneri reply started off at high speed when Mr Bell smashed the first ball into an adjacent field for 4. Once Mr Bell departed though the game slowed down to a crawl.

Mike batted in the style of Boycott setting his stall out to save a Test match with 2 days left and compiled a patient 30.

Cuz came in at the end to liven things up with a typical cameo to see the pinks home just as the travelling fans were growing impatient.

In summary this game could have gone down a different route if one of their batsmen had of kicked on. It didn’t though because of our super attack, top catching and all round fielding.
