May the force of 2009 be with us
Today we confirm a fixture that in 2009 gave the team a very warm feeling even though we lost.
The match in question is the trip to Holtwhites Trinibis in Enfield.
Last year we perhaps threw caution to the wind too literally and ended up trying to blast victory from a position where 99 teams out of a 100 would have locked the shutters and settled for a draw.
Fond memories still linger from Gareth and Mat's last wicket stand that included numerous monster blows out of the ground. Victory was not meant to be, but we did set a good ethical standard of playing the game rather than settling for a bore draw.
This year's match is confirmed for Sunday the 18th of July.
