This coming Sunday is one of the big days of the year when we stage our Charity & Family Day at Lincoln Road.
Last year’s event was a huge success and we raised a substantial amount for our charity The National Autistic Society. (I cannot remember the exact amount, but I am sure Big Mike will post the exact amount to the nearest penny on the forum. But with the Halifax match funding it did end up around the £600 mark.)
We have chosen the same charity again this year, for which they have already expressed extreme gratitude and wished us luck in taking on the might of Enfield Cricket Club.
Admission to the ground is free as is the children’s bouncy castle and face painting stall. The bar will be open all day, but spectators are advised to bring a picnic as we have not been able to arrange a barbecue.
Our famous charity raffle will be bigger and better than ever with all players on the day for Rosaneri asked to bring a decent donation. Some players who cannot play have already made donations even though they will not be playing.
If in doubt about a donation, it may be wise to pop down to your local supermarket and pick up an item on special offer in the alcohol section. (Branded champagne, wine, or crates of beer etc.) Under no circumstances must players turn up with a barbecue !
