The land of the giants

Good morning sports fans and welcome to the land of the giants.

We are off to Essex again to take on the mighty Dunmow in a new fixture for 2009.

This promises to be a tough assignment as Dunmow are known as being one of the giants of amateur cricket in the whole of Essex. They run 3 Saturday teams and only the one team on a Sunday so we are sure to be in for an examination.

The Rosaneri team does not have a usual look to it, but it has lots of batting and bundles of character. Regular bowlers are thin on the ground, but we do have a few who will be looking to show the club exactly what they can do.

The format of the match will be decided by the captains at the toss.

2pm is the start time and players are advised to arrive at the ground for 1.20pm.

Dunmow Cricket Club can be found in St Edmunds Lane, off Braintree Road, in Great Dunmow. With the A120 (old and new!) and M11 to one side and the A414 on the other, it is easily accessible wherever you are travelling from. Big Mike will hopefully post the post code on the forum for sat nav users.

Text updates can be obtained by contacting a club official.
